Mail delivery will be suspended and post offices closed Wednesday due to a national day of mourning for President George H.W. Bush.

Bush, the 41st president, died Friday at age 94. His funeral will be Wednesday at the Washington National Cathedral and President Donald Trump has called for a national day of mourning.

The U.S. Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery and retail service, but will provide limited package delivery service.

Home delivery of The Walton Tribune will be affected by the Postal Service’s decision. The paper will still be mailed at the usual time, so in-county subscribers should receive it on Thursday.

Single-copy locations will not be affected.
