SAVANNAH — Loganville won its third state high school baseball title Thursday night with a sweep of Wayne County.

The Red Devils (30-18) got a no-hitter from Joseph Brandon in a 3-0 win in the Class AAAAA series Game 1, then completed the sweep with a 3-2 win.

Bay Witcher got the win and Bryant Pietri recorded the save.

“It’s special,” coach Jeff Segars said. “We started the year at 2-8, but these guys just kept playing and started making plays to win games.”

Loganville previously won state championships in 2008 and 2012. It was the AAAAA runner-up to Houston County last year.
