Warmer weather means it’s time for concerts in two of Walton County’s downtowns.

Both Monroe and Loganville will be bringing several bands to town for nights of free, family-friendly entertainment.

Monroe will host the first event on Friday when On the Border, an Eagles tribute band, comes to town. Music starts at 7 p.m.

Side Hustle, a dance band, will play June 7. Departure, a Journey tribute band, will play Aug. 2. The Swingin’ Medallions will close out the series on Sept. 6. The first three concerts will be held on the Historic Courthouse lawn. If development goes according to plan, the final concert will be held on the Town Green.

Loganville begins its summer concerts, Groovin’ on the Green, on May 17, with the Swingin’ Medallions.

Country rock band Common Ground will play on June 21. Jam band Rhythm Nation plays July 19. The 80’s dance group Electric Avenue plays Aug. 16. Tribute, an Allman Brothers cover band, will play on Sept. 20.

All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. on the Green in downtown.
