2016 Elections Long lines on first day to vote

Voters say they want to avoid rush, find a wait anyway

MONROE — Early voting began at 8:30 a.m. Monday as voters made their way to the Walton County Government Building.

By the time the polls opened, more than 15 people stood waiting in line for their chance to fill out a ballot and cast their vote.
