Stalwart liquor store closes after 51 years

WALNUT GROVE — For 15 years, John Pringle has kept the doors open at B&J Package Store, which for decades was the only liquor store in Walton County.

Walnut Grove, county officials break ground on new sewer system

WALNUT GROVE — In 1999, city leaders “cast a vision.” That vision — to bring sewer service into Walnut Grove — came closer to fruition with a groundbreaking ceremony at a place where the impact might be felt the most: Walnut Grove Parkway.

Walnut Grove Library officials and its supporters can breathe a sigh of relief as the library received a reinstatement of most of its initial $60,000 budget at last month’s Walnut Grove Council meeting.
