New vision for Social Circle

Former Social Circle Middle School principal McGhee back as superintendent

Posted: Sunday, August 5, 2012 12:00 am

Pressed to replace Superintendent Bettye Ray, who helped to guide Social Circle City Schools through increasingly rough patches, the Social Circle Board of Education elected to choose someone with local credentials in Todd McGhee.

Coming from Elbert County High School, where he was principal, into his first superintendent’s job, McGhee has history in Social Circle, where he was principal of Social Circle Middle School for two years, part of this 25-year long career in education as both teacher and coach, as well as administrator.
