In love 77 years after saying ‘I do’

Advise couples to take things slow, enjoy moment

After 77 years of marriage, the Bonars haven’t forgotten how to hold hands, be affectionate towards each other and John Bonar hasn’t forgotten who the boss is – his wife, Katherine. John will openly admit Katherine ran and still runs the shots in their relationship. He will laugh and tell you that she taught him over the years that she was the boss.

The couple find it hard to imagine it’s been 77 years since they said, “I do.” Reflecting on that sentiment, Katherine leaned over to her husband, grabbed his hand and gave him a sweet peck.

Wonderful story, except if they've been married 89 years, that means they were 11 years old when they got married. ????? If John waited a few years after college to propose, he must have graduated from college when he was 7 or 8.
