Washington native making his way across America

There was a peculiar site Wednesday afternoon walking along Highway 78 as a man with a baby stroller and a sign that read “Walking Across America, Enjoy the Walk.com” made his way into Monroe.

On September 20, 2009, George Throop, 37, left his home in Vancouver, Wash. on a venture of self-sacrifice to walk across America. His hope in doing was to inspire people to achieve positive steps towards their own goals.
