Police responded to a call from Whits Inn just before 9 a.m. regarding an accident. They arrived to find a car had driven over the curb in the Whits Inn parking lot, striking a support beam on the side of the hotel. The windows in the vehicle were down, the ignition was turned on with the vehicle in drive and the driver was still in the driver's seat - asleep. When police were able to wake him and get him out of the vehicle, he allegedly said he didn't know what was going on and that he was under the impression he was asleep in his hotel room. He allegedly was not even aware he had been in an accident.
