Local judges struggle to make sense of tickets written by trooper who cheated

Courts around Walton County are taking different approaches to citations written by a dismissed Georgia State Patrol officer.

Traffic courts held 66 citations written by Nicholas Hawkins: 43 in Walton County probate court, 10 in Loganville’s municipal court, nine in Monroe and four in Social Circle.
