Social Circle restricts where boats can be parked

Recreational vehicles may not be parked in front yard

SOCIAL CIRCLE — The Social Circle Council voted on several resolutions and ordinances at its monthly meeting, setting regulations on where residents can park their boats and establishing rules for rentals of the city's local baseball field.

The council first amended a zoning ordinance on the parking and storage of boats and other recreational vehicles. To prevent homeowners from simply planting a boat or other recreational vehicle in the front yard and letting it gather dust, the newly amended ordinance requires residents to store their boat or park it out of sight in some fashion.
