Veterans Day is an important holiday for all Americans, as people take the time to remember and honor the military personnel, past and present, who have served the nation and protected it here and overseas.

But for Bruce Whitley and his son Matthew, it’s not just a time to honor fellow soldiers. It’s a family affair.
