Garrett, city at odds over planning water gun event

Planning a water gun fight led to a spat between a Monroe councilman and his colleagues.

Last week, Norman Garrett (D-5), organized a water gun fight that ended up happening in Felker Park last Sunday June 2. Similar events, styled “Guns Down, Water Guns Up” have occurred throughout the region as an effort to combat gun violence in recent weeks.
