Students work to re-create winter sports with science

For the past two weeks, the Winter Olympics, just now wrapping up in Pyeongchang, South Korea, have dominated the airwaves, bringing the perennial dose of skiing, bobsledding, figure skating and other cold weather sports that people only remember exist every four years.

At Loganville Christian Academy, Gwyn Bixler’s eighth grade science students have been inundated with the same rush of winter sporting events, but not as spectators.
