Burglar who was shot by homeowner enters not guilty plea

Slater faces charges of burglar, possession of tools for the commission of a crime

On Jan. 4, Paul Slater, 32, broke into a Loganville house and ended up being shot by the homeowner. 

On Tuesday, after being near death and spending more than a month on a ventilator, Slater entered a not guilty plea to charges of burglary and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, according to Assistant District Attorney Erle Newton, who is prosecuting the case.
