Three-car wreck shuts down Mount Vernon Road

Georgia State Patrol officials were called to the scene of a three-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Thursday morning on Mount Vernon Road. 

According to GSP Trooper John Taylor, a Walton EMC bucket truck reportedly had mechanical trouble and was stopped in the southbound lane of the road. A Walton EMC service truck arrived shortly after and pulled up behind. Both vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the crash.
