Athens Man's football tickets stolen

Victim was given 2 counterfeit tickets to Georgia-Notre Dame

ATHENS, Ga. — A Monroe man trying to sell a pair of tickets to the University of Georgia football game against Notre Dame was robbed on the streets of downtown Athens.

Athens-Clarke County police said the man was trying to sell the tickets at the corner of East Broad and Jackson streets on Sept. 21, the day of the game that pitted two top-10 teams.
