Social Circle school board approves $17 million budget

Millage rate set at rollback level to offset property tax

SOCIAL CIRCLE — The budget is rising but property taxes are not in Social Circle for the school system as the Social Circle Board of Education approved the final budget for the coming school year.

The board voted unanimously to approve a $17.2 million budget — an increase of nearly $2 million from last year’s $15.5 million budget.
