2018 Elections Kemp wins by 50,000 votes

Governor's race ends with GOP candidate winning

Georgia’s closest governor’s race in more than 50 years ended with Brian Kemp declaring he’ll work for all citizens “no matter their ZIP code or political preference.”

Secretary of State Robyn Crittenden certified the results Saturday. Kemp got 50.22 percent of the vote. He beat Democrat Stacey Abrams by 54,723 votes out of more than 3.9 million cast.
