MONROE, Ga. — The pilot who died in a plane crash at the Monroe airport was a pillar of the local aviation community.

Jason Cyrus “Cy” Nunnally, who owned fixed-base operator Fair Weather Flights, died Tuesday night after the single-engine plane he was flying crashed just a few yards from the runway at the Monroe-Walton County Airport.
