Bridge work to affect emergency response times

Posted: Sunday, March 4, 2012 12:00 am

Construction to replace the bridge on New Hope Church Road north of Between begins Monday and while road closure will affect many travelers on a major thoroughfare, it will also impact local emergency services.

The road will be closed for six months at the intersection of Lee Peters Road on the south side of the bridge and near the intersection of Double Springs Church Road on the north side.

Why not! The county has tons of money from SPLOST right? The gift that keeps on giving....and taking. SPLOST wasn't supposed to go on forever however when politicians find a way to extort money from it's citizen using scare tactics, they stick to it. The good citizens of WC just keep voting it back.
