Cattle farmer wins district’s 2018 prize, scholarships given

The Walton County Soil and Water Conservation District held its annual meeting recently to celebrate another year of milestones and accomplishments among the county’s agricultural and conservationist communities.

Gathering at the Walton County Agricultural Center at Criswell Park, nearly 100 people attended the event to enjoy dinner, provided by Stripling’s Country Store, present the annual award for Conservationists of the Year, hear updates on the educational projects and outreach efforts pushed by the district.
