JERSEY — Although the proposed drag strip and motorsports complex in Social Circle has met with some fierce opposition, the project has also received equally passionate support, as the first meeting of the Citizens for the Motor Sports Complex demonstrated.

Monday's meeting at the Jersey Community Center, drew more than 60 people to hear project owner Donnie Clack speak of the value and benefits of the proposed drag strip.

i am originally from Social Circle, and in my own opinion i believe that we've always needed something we could all do in Social Circle. there's nothing to do there. It would also bring in people from other towns possibly other states meaning new revinue for SC and surrounding counties.
