Sewer lines would run near their houses, and they’re making a stink

SOCIAL CIRCLE — About a dozen residents of Lakewood Drive and the surrounding area in Social Circle railed against the city’s proposed sewer improvement plan at last Tuesday’s council meeting, which could see a pump station and several new lines built near their properties.

Doug Hawkins, who lives on Lakewood and has a background in water management, gave a presentation outlining the group’s concerns.
