WASHINGTON — The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 and since that time, the organization has held Continental Congress, its annual national meeting in Washington, D.C.

For a week in early July each year, Daughters from across the U.S., and from around the world meet at the DAR headquarters to report on the year’s work, to honor outstanding daughters, to plan future initiatives and to reconnect with friends.
