Local teens, adults gather at forum to discuss issue of underage drinking

Part of overall effort to increase awareness

MONROE — Local teens gathered at the Walton County Historic Courthouse Saturday morning to share about the dangers of alcohol and underage drinking as part of a public forum held by Advantage Behavioral Health Systems.

The event, held alongside the weekly Monroe Farmers Market downtown, brought together area teenagers, local law enforcement and medical officials to talk about underage drinking and the perils of illegal alcohol consumption.
