4 council seats on ballot in Monroe Tuesday

Five seats on the Monroe City Council are on the ballot on Tuesday. Four of them, Districts 2, 4, 5 and Superdistrict 7 (which includes 1, 2, and 3) are contested. Lee Malcom is running unopposed in District 1.

In the Superdistrict 7 race, incumbent Nathan Little is running against Lisa Smith. Little, who has been on the council since 2005, pointed to his experience as a difference-maker in the race.
