Kemp ushers in new solar projects

South Georgia project will help power Facebook Newton Data Center

MONROE, Ga. — Three solar projects announced by Gov. Brian Kemp will bring jobs to rural southwest Georgia and help power the Facebook data center under construction at Stanton Springs.

Silicon Ranch Corp., the U.S. solar platform for Shell, committed to invest about $150 million in three solar projects in Early County.
