Obituary Earl W. Carson Jr.

Earl W. Carson Jr. passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in his home surrounded by his family.

He graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law and soon after joined the U.S. Army as a Judge Advocate General officer. After his active duty, he worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Middle District of Georgia. In 1975, he entered the civil service and continued his legal work for the U.S. Air Force and Army in Japan and Europe. He enjoyed his retirement in Monroe pursuing his hobbies.

He is survived by two brothers, Dr. Matthew Carson and Thomas Carson; his wife, Anneliese Carson; his four children, Christine Long (and Gary), Earl W. Carson III (and Lissa), James Carson (and Stacie) and Elizabeth Carson; and three grandchildren, Spencer Long, Anneliese Carson and Catharine Carson.
