We create rituals for ourselves by tapping into our spiritual or religious lives.

By doing so we honor special moments, transitions and fundamental passages. Dr. Abigail Brenner, a psychiatrist in private practice, says rituals serve as a bridge between our outer and inner worlds, between the profane and sacred, and between the ordinary and extraordinary.
