Kenneson: Social Circle library is a palace for the people

After Hurricane Sandy, a group of designers gathered in New York City to try to figure out how it could be better prepared the next time a disaster swirled through town.

The group came up with this idea of a “resilience center.” These would be a welcoming buildings situated in neighborhoods staffed by welcoming people and equipped with Wi-Fi and public spaces to spend time in and maybe some programs to keep kids entertained.
