Kenneson: Thinking more broadly about gun violence

Posted: Wednesday, August 7, 2019 12:00 am

We’re stuck in the latest spin cycle of horror and flags at half-mast and demands for new laws and arguments about mental health and the influence of lobbyists and on and on and on until we all just go back to not thinking about mass shootings until another one happens.

The week after each mass in America plays out about the same each time, whether it’s 10 dead or 50 dead, nightclub attendees or second graders, in California or Texas. As David Clemons notes in his column, we’re probably not going to do much about it.
