COLUMN: One never really leaves ‘The Circle’

Posted: Saturday, May 26, 2018 12:00 am

At this time of year in education, we generally think about the ending of a school year and all the events that come with that, especially graduation. Graduation is sometimes referred to as a commencement which really means a beginning or a new start. So for this article, I choose not to think of endings but of new beginnings for Social Circle City Schools and the Class of 2018.

Seneca, a Roman philosopher, said, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” How true that is! Thirteen years ago, this great class of graduates began their journey to this very moment.
