COLUMN: Embracing the digital age and technology tools at Social Circle schools

Posted: Saturday, February 25, 2017 12:00 am

The digital age can’t be ignored. It’s here to stay. Technology has ushered into our schools a new day and a new way. Few probably realized Feb. 23 was Digital Learning Day, a day set aside to engage students with the various devices we have been privileged enough to place in their hands. Technology has changed the way we do things in all aspects of our lives.

The focus is no longer on continually purchasing technology for our students but more on the why we are purchasing it and how we are going to use it to improve student learning. Technology cannot be an end in itself but a means to engage in various and compelling opportunities for learning.
