Be aware of changes to business licenses

Posted: Sunday, October 7, 2012 12:00 am

Due to recent changes in immigration law, Walton County Planning and Development will no longer be allowed to accept occupational tax certificate renewals (business license) through the U.S. mail.

Per the enactment of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011, all applicants must provide Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlement affidavits along with proper identification such as driver’s license, passport or legal immigration documents. Additional E-verify documentation will be required for each business.
