COLUMN: Celebrating the most wonderful time of the year at Loganville Christian

Posted: Saturday, December 16, 2017 12:00 am

December. As the song aptly states, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” The days leading up to Christmas are filled with celebration as we attend plays and band/choral concerts, bake our favorite treats, binge-watch cheesy Hallmark movies, and decorate our homes in a way that embodies warmth, comfort, and tradition. In many homes elves begin to make their appearance, wreaking havoc throughout the month. The wonder and imagination of children are heightened by this magical season.

Christmas also provides the opportunity for pause as we consider the reason behind all the celebration. Immanuel. God With Us. It’s hard to take in all that’s implied in the truth that God is with us. We are not alone. We don’t have to fear. Regardless of where we have been or what we have done, He offers us the opportunity to be in relationship with the One who created everyone and everything.
