Safety over all in Hwy 78 changes

Posted: Wednesday, July 25, 2018 12:00 am

Since the roadwork began at the intersection of Highway 78 with Rowe Road and Troy Smith Road, mixed reactions have been the norm for many residents and frequent travelers in the area.

On the one hand, many are relieved to see the Georgia Department of Transportation take any action to improve the stretch of highway, which has proven prone to too-frequent accidents as people crossing over the highway collide with oncoming traffic or vehicles simply trying to move from one side of the thoroughfare to the other.
