Traditional American way erodes in schools

Posted: Saturday, February 17, 2018 12:00 am

Prior to the 1960s American norms and standards were honorable, for example; 1) get married before having children; 2) stay married; 3) get an education and find a job; 4) work hard; 5) be a patriot; 6) respect authority; 7) avoid criminal activities and those participation in them; and 8) stay away from abusive drugs.

That is just a start-up list of a firm foundation for a nation. Today, the idea of working for and becoming a tradesman is thought of as demeaning, homicide rates have skyrocketed, half of the births are out of wed-lock, high school students rankings are below those of at least two dozen countries we at one time excelled over. Racial upheaval is out of control resulting in tensions between our people in place of harmony between us.
