This election was not about Mitt Romney versus Barack Obama, this election was about how a person views the role of the federal government to be in their lives.
Group A, who voted for Romney, views the role of the federal government as playing a minor role in their lives. This was the view of the Founding Fathers as well. The Founding Fathers held the view that government closest to the people works the best. The state government would only do what the local government could not and the federal government would only be responsible for what the local and state governments could not do, like national defense and interstate commerce. This was made crystal clear in the U.S. Constitution where it limited the power and reach of the federal government.
