Columns about SCV were unfair to group

Posted: Saturday, May 5, 2018 12:00 am

In response to Tim Schnabel and his assessment of the Sons of Confederate Veterans logo sign as being a symbol of hate is irresponsible, and reflects his ignorance of the history of the Sons of Confederate Veterans organization. In some maligned, and convoluted way, he has tried to implicate the SCV with the Moore’s Ford incident.

In the same April 29 edition of The Walton Tribune, another uninformed columnist, David Clemons, jumped on the bandwagon by demonizing the SCV logo on the welcome sign entering Monroe.
