Friday’s diet included too much Rice

Posted: Wednesday, October 3, 2012 12:00 am

MONROE — Many players see action on both sides of the line of scrimmage in Georgia’s lower classifications and George Walton Academy is no exception.

Hunter Rice is one of those players who lends his talent on offense and defense and both were needed Friday night in the Bulldogs’ 26-14 Region 8-A win over Commerce in a battle or top 10 ranked teams. Rice, who operates the GWA veer offense from the quarterback position, rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns and had a keep interception in the second half that helped squelch a Tiger scoring drive.
