Monroe runs past high-flying Knights offense

MONROE — After opening the football season with a pair of easy wins against overmatched opponents, Monroe Area had yet to establish its bona fides as a statewide power. 

But following Friday night’s 36-15 victory over sixth-ranked Pace Academy (2-1) at the Purple Pit, the Hurricanes (3-0) served notice they should be included in any conversation about a Class AAA championship.
