MONROE — George Walton Academy jumped out to an early lead and then went into survival mode to hold on to a 14-10 victory over Stratford Academy on Friday night at Don Williams Stadium.

Playing for all but the first offensive series without starting quarterback Colby Bell, who separated his shoulder on the third play of the game, the Bulldogs struggled offensively most of the night, leaving their fate in the hands of the defense.
