After two straight trips to Columbus for the Georgia High School Association state championship softball tournament, George Walton Academy is starting to blossom into a powerhouse in Class A.

The Lady Bulldogs finished the season with a 22-12 record, but made an early exit from the state championship tournament after falling to First Presbyterian Day in extra innings during the opening game then falling 1-0 to Tattnall Square in an elimination game on day two.
