Monroe QB takes humble approach

Every time Chandler Byron scores, which is pretty often, it’s the same routine. Get a quick hug from his teammates then hand the ball back to the official. Nothing flashy.

However, after breaking off a 66-yard touchdown to put the game away during Friday night’s 38-22 win over Pace Academy, Byron showed a little more emotion than normal. If you blinked you might have missed it. The senior quarterback crossed the goal line then extended his arms out like he was flying then went back to his normal routine.
