Frances M. Carithers

Frances M. Carithers, 72, of Monroe died Feb. 25, 2005.

A native of Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late Harley Morgan and Artie Hamby Morgan.

She retired from the Monroe-Walton Mill and was a member of the New Beginning Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 28 in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home. The Rev. Roy Turk, the Rev. Buford Hutchins and the Rev. Bill Hillman officiated and interment was in Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were David Sims, Jimmy Sims, Josh Huskin, George Marlowe, Chris Carter and Josh Sorrells.

She is survived by her husband: Frank Carithers; daughter: Mary Alice Sims of Monroe; sons: Charles Sorrells of Monroe and Carlton Martin of Winder; sisters: Eva Millwood of Powder Springs and Thelma Morgan of Monroe; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.

Arthur Bowick Inc. Funeral Directors was in charge of the arrangements.
