Double Tree Fire

A home on Double Tree Drive burned Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in unincorporated Monroe, Ga.

MONROE, Ga. — Two adults were displaced when a home burned Wednesday afternoon in unincorporated Monroe.

Walton County Fire Rescue and the Monroe Fire Department responded to a home that burned on Double Tree Drive off Bethany Church Road.

Assistant Chief Craig League of Walton County Fire Rescue said the house was a total loss. It was fully involved upon firefighters’ arrival.

The two occupants in the home were safe, League said. American Red Cross was contacted.
