BOLD SPRINGS, Ga. — Two Barrow County women were seriously hurt Monday in a crash.

The three-vehicle collision happened shortly after 7:40 a.m. at Georgia 81 and June Ivy Road Northwest.

State troopers said the driver of a Mercedes-Benz GL 450 driving on June Ivy Road failed to stop at a stop sign and entered Highway 81.

A southbound Infiniti G37 struck the front left side of the SUV, causing the Infiniti coupe to rotate, cross the centerline and exit the right eastbound shoulder of Bentley Road, coming to an uncontrolled rest facing east.

The impact caused the Mercedes to rotate about 180 degrees and cross the centerline, where its left rear side struck the front of a northbound Dodge Ram 1500.

Troopers cited 44-year-old Henry Edetson, the driver of the 2012 Mercedes on charges related to the SUV’s tires and for failure to stop.

Edetson, of Bethlehem, sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the Infiniti, 57-year-old Teresa Ellerbee, and passenger 59-year-old Olivia Carlyle, had to be extracted from the car and were taken by Walton EMS with suspected serious injuries.

David Parker, 44, of Loganville, was driving the Dodge truck. He had no serious injuries.
